A written towing authorization agreement is required between RFS Towing Services and the property owner or manager.
Vehicles may only be towed within a 10-mile radius to a licensed storage facility, per California law.
Signed authorization is required at the time of each tow for vehicles removed from regular stalls or common areas.
Vehicles parked in posted fire lanes may be towed without a signature but must be photographed clearly showing the violation and signage.
Fire Lane Signage Requirements:
To legally enforce fire lane tows, at least one of the following must be present:
Properly installed fire lane signs with clear lettering
Red-painted curbs labeled "No Parking" or "Fire Lane" with lettering at least 6” tall
Red pavement hash marks with clear "No Parking" or "Fire Lane" labels (6” minimum height)
